Vietnam plans to make people tallerCould a Vietnamese center be in the Blazers' future, slamming Yao Ming to the floor with regularity? Here's hoping! Posted by FLOG at June 3, 2004 9:57 AM | TrackBackThe Vietnamese Government has launched a new initiative to make its population taller.
The $40m programme, which is designed to promote better nutrition and healthy living, will be introduced to schools across the country.
"We are still much shorter than other Asian countries like China and especially Japan," said Dung Nghiep Chi, the man behind the scheme.
. . .
"I want to be 10cm taller," [said one man.] "I think tall people are beautiful."
Ha, ha, ha! One day we shall rule the world!
