The best French movie ever

Check this out:

CLICK!!!

{Mirrors: One. Two.}

{It is a large file; I recommend saving it via right-click and getting on to other things while it downloads. It's worth the wait, and would really suck streaming.} {Plus, this is the sort of video you want to put in the archive.}

Someone else's description:

On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.
My description:

Holy sweet lovely fuck. They didn't even sell me a seat, and it's a good thing, because I only needed the edge. Stay tuned, on account of the second half is the best. However, I can only give it three and a half stars because it appears no pigeons or Parisians were harmed in the making of this film.

Also for sale.

Completely off topic, but I have to say that the architect of this whole thing only reminds me of that fated pitcher with a million-dollar arm and a five-cent head, the great Ebby Calvin LaLoosh.

Is that the best film of 1988? Maybe.

Either way, it's the point in my Thursday Eve/ Friday Morn where I leave this kind of comment on someone's blog. Do with it what you will.

"Do with it what you will."

I have spell-checked it! But I'm glad you pointed this out, because, come on. Claude Lelouch? Why do French people always have such French names?

Yeah, it's the point in my Friday Morn where I leave this kind of comment on my own blog. I should be in bed.
